Copper Pukeko

The Pukeko bird is found throughout New Zealand and is often seen foraging for food at roadsides. Much loved for it's long red legs, character and slightly ungainly attempts at take off and landing.

This copper Pukeko is beautifully detailed and stands 6.5cm high, with it's gaze just in front of it's feet- just as they are seen foraging in complete disregard of cars going by them only meters away.
