Ancient Rata Wooden Chopper. Beautifully hand crafted by Kitchen Artefacts from an extremely old Native Rata tree salvaged from the Whanganui River where it has been preserved by the cold waters since the Taupo eruption event in circa 186 A.D.

 

Used for herbs, nuts, cheese, cold meats, dough, getting sweetcorn off the cob, pizza etc. Perfect for making sour dough bread.

 

Each piece is unique and vary in size and wood grain.

Made in New Zealand.
