This beautiful Pounamu taonga is hand carved in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Hei Matu - The Fish Hook - represents peace, prosperity, strength & determination, safe travel, safe journey over water. 

Koru - The design is derived from the unfurling fern frond - depicting growth, harmony, abundance, life & new beginnings.

Each piece is unique and individual, no two pieces are the same. 

This Taonga (treasure) is finely carved from Pounamu sourced from the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. 

The Maori people believe that a Pounamu taonga increases in mana (prestige) as they pass from one person to another and from generation to generation. 

Approximate measurements -  5.5cm x 3cm.
